XTERRA Trail Run World Series

The XTERRA Trail Run World Series is an inclusive series that invites all trail enthusiasts to join the XTERRA community as we connect, explore, and discover new and existing trails in idyllic running terrains the world over.

Designed to mix community and adventure, the series is open to all runners, from amateur to elite, individuals and pairs, with over 30 races in 20+ countries across Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Compete individually, regionally or globally in the XTERRA Trail Run rankings, or push to the front of the pack in your age group to qualify for a place on the starting line at the annual and invite-only XTERRA Trail Run World Championship.

Distances & Categories

The XTERRA Trail Run World Series includes both half-marathon (15-34km) and full-marathon (35km+) races, with individual and team (duo) categories available.

But racing duos who choose to suffer together must also finish together in order to be awarded points and Trail Run World Championship slots.

Slots awarded for full-marathon and half-marathon races are only valid for Championship races of the same distance category. However, those who have qualified for the half-marathon World Championship race may apply for the full-distance race in cases where a full-marathon race was not available within the region.

The DBT 21k starts from the wonderful beach of Molveno Lake. You can quickly reach via Marocchi up to the crossroads for baita Fortini / malga Andalo. There are about 522 meters of elevation gain up to Malga Andalo.

Go up the path until you cross the forest road. Follow it up to malga Andalo (about 6 km distance and 522 m of elevation gain)

From Malga Andalo take path 332 up to 1560 meters altitude. Near the stretch of the ferrata turn to the new variant DBT K21 in light descent for about 100 meters until you cross path 319

which ascends to Rifugio Selvata ( 3Km distance 313 meters of elevation gain). HYDRIC REFRESHMENT

From rifugio Selvata go down through the path 340 to Croz dell’Altissimo Hut (2Km distance 180 meters of elevation gain).

From Croz dell’Altissimo  Hut, take the path 340 to the junction with the path 340 bis “Sentiero delle Grotte” which ascends to the Montanara Refuge (4km distance – 418 meters of elevation gain).

Go down to Pradel (2km distance – 180 meters of elevation gain)

Pass the  Pradel  Hut 1359 m. and start to descend again in the direction of Andalo. After about hundred meters you will find signs indicating the direction of Malga Brugnol and Molveno.

Now carefully cross the main road and go down along via Garibaldi up to the center up to Piazza S. Carlo, where there is the church.

Now turn left and go down the pedestrian path to the bridge that separates Lake Molveno from Lake Bior. Stay on the left of the main road and go down to the edge of the lake. Turn right to go under the road.
